Pallet is sold as a subscription, and the subscription buys you maintenance: the author ships a tagged release every month that tracks Next.js and Prisma upgrades, with a written migration note for each. The kit includes Clerk for sign-in and organizations, Stripe subscriptions with trials and coupons, a usage dashboard, an onboarding checklist and email sequences built on Loops.

It is opinionated about outsourcing hard parts. Auth, email and billing all lean on hosted services, so there is less code to own and more vendor accounts to manage. The limitation shows up in your costs: Clerk pricing kicks in past 10,000 monthly users, and swapping it out later touches nearly every protected route.
