Copperplate handles the tenancy problems Rails apps usually solve late. Each account gets a subdomain, custom domains are verified and provisioned with automatic TLS, and every model is scoped with acts_as_tenant. Billing covers monthly and yearly Stripe plans with proration, there is a team invite flow, an announcements feed, and a super-admin console for accounts and revenue.

The subscription includes ongoing Rails upgrades and a monthly office-hours call. The kit is opinionated about row-level tenancy rather than separate schemas, which keeps migrations quick. The limitation is price over time: at $29 a month it costs more than most one-time kits within a year, and cancelling stops updates and access to the private repo.
