Kelpwise gives member-owned grocery co-ops an ordering app that doesn't look like it was built in 2011. Members pick a delivery slot, the co-op's own staff pack the order, and nobody pays a marketplace fee.
We need an experienced Android engineer for six months to bring the Android app up to par with iOS. The plan for your contract: migrate the remaining XML screens to Jetpack Compose, add substitutions so members can approve a swap when the oat milk runs out, and set up proper crash reporting and release automation. Kotlin, Compose, Retrofit, and a GraphQL API.
You'll report to the mobile lead in Toronto and overlap at least three hours a day with Eastern time. We work from a written weekly plan and a short Monday call; the rest happens in pull requests and Slack threads.
