Harborline helps companies with five to 50 employees ship a pallet or a container overseas without hiring a freight forwarder. Our customers export olive oil, bike parts and handmade furniture, and many are booking freight for the first time.
This is a three-day-a-week role, and our first dedicated researcher. In the first 90 days you'll set up a research repository in Dovetail, run 15 interviews about how exporters prepare customs paperwork, and turn that into a shortlist of problems the product team can act on. You'll recruit participants from our customer list and from trade associations.
You choose which three days you work, as long as one of them overlaps with the product team's Tuesday planning. Findings are shared in writing with short video clips, and you'll present a quarterly summary to the founders.
