Frontend Engineer, Collaborative Editor

Quillmark is a contract editor for in-house lawyers. Up to 15 people edit the same agreement at once, with tracked changes, clause libraries and comments that survive redlines from the other side's Word file.

You'll join a team of five working on the editor itself. In the first 90 days you'll fix the cursor-jumping bugs that appear when two people edit the same table, ship the new comment sidebar, and help us profile documents over 200 pages, where typing latency still creeps above 50 ms. We use TypeScript, React, ProseMirror and Yjs for real-time sync.

The whole company is in European time zones, so there's a shared core from 10:00 to 14:00 CET. Meetings are capped at two per day, and every Friday afternoon is reserved for writing and reading, not calls.
