About this resource

Halden Grotesk is a neo-grotesk drawn for interfaces and brand work alike. It comes in nine weights from Thin to Black with true italics, not slanted romans, and a variable font with weight and optical-size axes. The character set covers 840 glyphs including extended Latin, Cyrillic and Greek, with tabular and proportional figures, case-sensitive forms and a stylistic set with a single-story a.

It's a strong default for product teams who want a neutral sans with more warmth than the usual system fonts. The $120 license covers 3 desktop seats and web use up to 500,000 monthly views; app licenses are sold separately. The caveat: no Vietnamese support yet.

Highlights

  • 01True italics for all nine weights
  • 02Optical-size axis tightens spacing at large sizes
  • 03Tabular figures for tables and dashboards
