Copperback

Roll, bounce and build momentum as a beetle in an overgrown greenhouse

About this game

You are a copper-shelled beetle who can curl into a ball. Rolling builds momentum, curving leaves become ramps, and flower stems act as springs. The fun is in finding the fastest line through each greenhouse bed: a good run feels like a pinball shot that never stops. Collectible seeds unlock shortcuts and new shells.

The greenhouse is lush and humid-looking, bronze and green, with drops of water that bend the light. The main route takes about 5 hours, and time trials add many more. Players who like momentum platformers and racing their own ghosts will be very happy. The caveat: the camera sometimes struggles in tight indoor sections and loses sight of the beetle.

Highlights

  • 01Momentum physics that reward clean lines
