I'm Adaeze Nwosu, an independent product designer. For more than a decade I've worked on B2B and fintech products where screens are dense, mistakes cost money and users are busy professionals who notice every extra click.
Before going independent in 2021, I was head of design at Pennant Payments through its Series B, where I grew the design team from two people to nine and shipped the merchant dashboard used by 40,000 businesses. Before that I was a senior product designer at Gridfield Analytics, working on reporting tools for operations teams, and I started out at a small studio designing internal tools for banks and insurers.
My work sits where research, interaction design and product strategy meet. I like to start with the data a team already has, talk to the people who are stuck, and then make a small number of decisions that move the numbers. I write a lot: decision logs, trade-off notes and handover documents, so the reasoning outlasts the engagement.
I work with two or three clients at a time, usually for three to six months, embedded with product and engineering. Outside client work I mentor early-career designers, write a monthly newsletter about designing for finance and operations teams, and teach a short course on accessible data tables.

Have a flow that's quietly costing you customers?
Send me the flow and the number you'd like to move. I'll reply with how I'd approach it, what I'd look at first and what it would cost.
