A training plan that adjusts to your week
Steady Iron builds your week around your goal, your equipment and the days you can actually train. Prop up your phone and it counts reps, flags form, and sets the weights for next time.
- Plans that adapt weekly
- Reps counted by camera
- Free tier, no card
Features
The parts of a good coach that fit in your pocket
Planning, counting, correcting and remembering. The tedious parts of training, handled while you rest between sets.
Plans that adapt
Tell Steady Iron your goal and which days you can train. Loads and volume shift each week based on what you actually lifted.
Camera rep counting
Lean your phone against a water bottle. It counts reps, tracks bar speed and logs the set without you touching the screen.
Form cues, mid-set
Knees caving on squats or hips rising early on deadlifts? A short cue appears on screen and in your earbuds on the next rep.
Progress you can read
Estimated one-rep max, weekly volume and personal bests for every lift, on charts that go back to your first session.
Health data sync
Pulls sleep, resting heart rate and steps from your phone's health app, and writes your workouts back to it.
Coach programs
Follow 8- to 16-week programs written by certified coaches, from a first barbell block to a powerlifting meet prep.
Why it works
Built for people who train three days a week, not seven
Planning, counting, correcting and remembering. The tedious parts of training, handled while you rest between sets.
Planning
Your whole week, Monday to Sunday
Strength days, conditioning, mobility and rest, laid out across the week so you can see the shape of your training at a glance. Move a session to Thursday and the rest of the week rebalances.
Coaching
A rep counter that also watches your form
The camera tracks 17 points on your body. It counts each rep, notices when depth or bar path drifts, and shows one short cue at a time, like 'chest up' or 'slow the descent', instead of a wall of text.
Progress
Every personal best, marked on the chart
Estimated one-rep max for each lift, plotted week by week, with a marker on every new personal best. When progress stalls for three weeks, Steady Iron suggests a change before you get bored.

Testimonials
“The form cue for my deadlift said 'hips too high' four sessions in a row. It was right. Lower back stopped complaining.”
“My squat went from 80 to 105 kg in four months on three sessions a week. The plan backed off when I was sick, which my old spreadsheet never did.”
Rachel OngNurse, night shifts“I train in a garage with one barbell and a bench. It only gives me lifts I can actually do with that.”
Ingrid SolbergGraphic designer“Started at 52 with zero gym experience. The beginner program explained every lift and never made me feel stupid.”

FAQ
Questions, answered
Still unsure? Email us and a real coach on the team replies, usually within a day.
Does the camera upload video of me?
No. Pose tracking runs on your phone, and only the numbers it produces (rep count, depth, bar speed) are saved to your log. No video or images ever leave the device.
Which lifts does form coaching cover?
31 lifts at the moment, including squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press, Romanian deadlift, rows, lunges and hip thrusts. Other exercises are still logged, just without cues.
How does the plan adapt?
Every Sunday Steady Iron looks at what you lifted, how hard each set felt and any missed sessions, then adjusts next week's weights and volume. Health data like sleep can nudge a single session lighter.
Do I need a gym?
No. Tell the app what equipment you have, from a full gym to two dumbbells and a doorway pull-up bar, and it only programs lifts you can actually do.
Can I import my old training log?
Yes. Import a CSV from a spreadsheet or another workout app. We map exercise names automatically and use your recent sets to estimate starting weights.
Which health apps does it sync with?
Steady Iron reads sleep, resting heart rate and steps from the built-in health app on iPhone and Android, and writes completed workouts back so your activity totals stay correct.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel Pro anytime in your app store subscription settings and you keep Pro until the end of the billing period. Your log stays on the free tier. Refunds follow the app store's policy.
