About this starter
Tidepool Kit pairs Next.js with Convex for a backend where every query is live by default. Sign-in uses Convex Auth with email codes and GitHub, there are shared workspaces with invites, presence indicators, a comment thread component and Stripe subscriptions handled in Convex actions. Scheduled functions take care of trial reminders and cleanup jobs without a separate queue.
It is opinionated about realtime: lists, counters and settings update across tabs without any extra code. That makes it a good base for collaborative tools. The limitation is lock-in. The data layer is Convex end to end, so moving to Postgres later means rewriting every query. The license is free to use but forbids reselling the kit itself.
