Why it works

Built around getting students to the last lesson

When the last lesson is checked off, students get a certificate with your logo, their name, the course title and the date. Every certificate has a public verification link, so it holds up on a resume.

  • Video lessons

Upload once and we handle transcoding, captions and adaptive streaming. Students resume exactly where they stopped, on any device.

  • Drip schedules

Release a module every Monday, or 3 days after a student finishes the last one. Cohorts unlock together; self-paced students go at their own speed.

  • Quizzes and assignments

Multiple choice, short answer and file uploads. Set a pass mark, require it before the next module, and review submissions in one inbox.

  • Certificates

Issue a branded certificate when a student completes the course, with a verification link they can add to a resume or profile.

  • Checkout and payment plans

One-time, three or six installments, coupons and regional pricing. Failed card payments retry and pause access automatically.

  • Affiliate program

Give past students and partners a link with a 30-day cookie. Set commission per course, and we track and report every referral.

How it works

From a messy folder to open enrollment

Most creators launch within a day. Bring whatever you've already recorded.

  1. 1

    Upload your material

Drag in recordings, slides, PDFs and worksheets. We transcode videos and suggest a module structure from the file names.

  2. 2

    Set up the course

Choose cohort or self-paced, a drip schedule, quizzes, a certificate and how students pay.

  3. 3

    Open enrollment

Publish a sales page on your domain, take payments and watch students move through the curriculum.

Small schools, adding up

“I used to sell a folder of recordings and answer refund emails. Now I run two cohorts a year and the course mostly runs itself.”

  • “Payment plans doubled my sales overnight. A $600 course is a lot easier to say yes to as three payments of $200.”

FAQ

Questions from course creators

Can't find your answer? Write to us; a real person replies within one business day.

Is there a limit on videos or students?

No limit on students on any plan. Video storage is unlimited too, with a fair-use cap of 500 hours of uploaded video per course. Files up to 10 GB each are accepted in MP4, MOV and WebM.

How do I get paid?

Payments go through your own connected payment provider account, and money lands in your bank on its normal payout schedule, usually two business days. We never hold your revenue.

How do payment plans work if a card fails?

We retry the card three times over a week and email the student each time. If all retries fail, their access pauses until they update their card. It resumes automatically once they do.

Can I move my course from another platform?

Yes. Import students from a CSV with their progress, and we pull videos from public links or a cloud folder. On Creator and School plans our team will migrate one course for you at no charge.

Who owns the content and the student list?

You do. Export your students, sales and progress data as CSV at any time, and download your original videos. If you leave, nothing is held back and nothing is deleted until you ask.

How do refunds work?

You set the refund policy for your own courses, and you can issue full or partial refunds from the dashboard in two clicks. For Lessonfield subscriptions, we refund any unused annual months on request.

Can I run the same course as a cohort and self-paced?

Yes. Create the curriculum once, then sell a scheduled cohort with live calls and a self-paced edition at a different price. Students in each edition see their own drip schedule and community space.
