Night Shift at the Last Arcade

Fight your way through broken cabinets as the arcade's last repair tech

About this game

The town's final arcade is closing, and every cabinet has a glitch only you can fix. Each repair job drops you inside a machine for a short twin-stick arena fight, styled after whatever game that cabinet ran. Between jobs, you spend tokens on soldering upgrades and chat with the owner, who has stories about every machine.

The neon magenta and CRT bloom look great, and the chiptune soundtrack changes per cabinet. A full shift takes around 45 minutes; seeing all twelve cabinets will take about 8 hours. It is perfect for anyone who grew up with sticky arcade floors. One honest caveat: the screen-shake is heavy, and while you can turn it down, you cannot switch it off entirely.

Highlights

  • 01Twelve cabinets, each with its own art style
