Site Reliability Engineer

Tidewell reads 400,000 pressure sensors in municipal water pipes and flags leaks before the street floods. Utilities in 60 towns rely on our alerts, so a missed reading at 3 a.m. matters more than a slow page load.

You'll be the third SRE on a platform team of seven. Your first 90 days: get the ingestion pipeline's alerting down to signals that need a human, write the runbooks we're missing, and lead a game day where we lose an AWS region on purpose. We run on AWS with Terraform, Timescale, Grafana and a fleet of Go collectors.

The team covers Chicago to Lisbon, which gives us follow-the-sun handoffs and four hours of shared time. Incidents get blameless written reviews within three days, and on-call is one week in seven.
