What I draw, and what it costs to start

Every project is quoted from a written brief and includes a defined license. Rates below are starting points for typical scopes.

    • First-serial rights

    From $450

  2. 02

    Publishing and covers

    • Endpaper pattern
    • Sales asset crops

    From $2,800

  3. 03

Process

How we will work together

  1. 01

    Brief and quote

You send the brief, deadline and where the work will appear. I reply with questions, a fixed quote and a license that covers your use.

  2. 02

    Thumbnails

Rough sketches of several directions, drawn small so we judge the idea, not the polish. One round of changes included.

  3. 03

    Color and sketch

A tight sketch in final color for the chosen direction. Changes here are cheap, so this is where we settle the details.

  4. 04

    Final and files

Finished artwork, print-ready separations and web exports, checked against proofs where the budget allows.

What clients say

  • “I sent eleven essays on a Thursday evening and had thumbnails for every slot by Saturday. They'd read everything, including the grief pieces, and drew them with real care.”

  • “The pattern system keeps paying for itself. We've put it on gift boxes, tea towels and a van, and every time the files were already set up for it.”
