FAQ
Can't find what you need? Read about how we work.
An editor uses each submitted tool for at least a week on real work in its category. We list it only if it does something specific well, has public pricing and a written data policy, and we can describe a real person who should pay for it. Roughly one in nine submissions makes it in.
By default, categories are sorted by our editorial rating, which reflects how well the tool does its main job, how clearly it handles data, and value for money. Ratings are revisited when a tool ships a major update or changes pricing. You can also sort by newest or filter by price and license.
No. Listings, ratings and featured spots cannot be bought. The Tool Ledger is funded by the newsletter sponsorship slot, which is always labeled Sponsored, never appears inside listings, and is sold only to tools we have already listed on merit.
Some outbound links carry an affiliate code when the vendor offers one, and those listings say so at the bottom. Whether a link earns us anything has no effect on inclusion or rating, and tools without affiliate programs are featured just as often.
Use the report link at the bottom of any listing, or email corrections@toolledger.com. Vendors can request a re-review after a major release. We check reported prices and policies within a week and note the date of the last review on every entry.
Send us your AI tool. If it does one job well, an editor will test it on real work and write an honest listing, limitations included.
