Releasewright

Writes customer-facing release notes from merged pull requests and closed tickets

About this tool

Connect GitHub and Linear or Jira, and Releasewright gathers everything shipped since the last tag, groups it by product area and drafts release notes for customers rather than engineers. It drops internal refactors, rewrites ticket titles into plain language and asks the product manager to confirm anything that looks like a breaking change.

It fits SaaS teams that ship weekly and keep putting off the changelog. Drafts can be published to a hosted changelog page, an in-app widget or a Markdown file in your repo. It depends on reasonably descriptive PR titles; a history of commits named "fix stuff" gives it little to work with, and it will say so instead of padding.
